Plan for Water Storage from Chichdoh Barrage for Irrigation -Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth
Gadchiroli, 31: Instructions were given by Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth today on how to maximize the availability of water from the Chichdoh barrage for irrigation to farmers.
Minister Seth is on a two-day visit to Gadchiroli district, reviewing the district’s development initiatives. He reviewed the government departments yesterday and visited the Anganwadi in Navegaon, Chichdoh barrage, Shiv Mandir in Markanda, health center, and tribal ashram school today to inspect various development works.
Present at the occasion were MLA Dr. Milind Narote, Integrated Tribal Development Project Officer Rahul Meena, CEO of the District Council Rajendra Bhuyar, Executive Engineer of the Irrigation Department Rahul Morghade, District Health Officer Dr. Pratap Shinde, Social Welfare Officer Chetan Hivanj, and District Planning Officer Shriram Pachkhede.
This morning, Minister Seth visited the Anganwadi center constructed under the Integrated Child Development Services scheme in Navegaon. He distributed nutrition kits to breastfeeding mothers at the center and also planted trees.
He interacted with students at the government ashram school in Markandadev under the Tribal Development Department. He also visited the health center in Markanda to gather information on available patient care resources and visited the Shiv Mandir to understand the sentiments of citizens regarding temple construction.
